About NSUDB
Niger State NSUDB was established and became operational in 1999 through enactment of Niger State Urban and Regional Planning Development Board edict number 3 of 1999. It is domestication of the provisions of the Nigeria Urban and Regional Planning law, decree 88 of 1992 now an act.
The edict provides the legal frame work for the functions, powers, area of jurisdiction and operations of the agency. It is an agency under the supervision of Niger State Ministry of Lands and Housing.
The primary objective of the Board is to ensure orderly, safe, healthy, convenient and aesthetically pleasing urban environment in Niger state.

The Scope/Jurisdiction

The Board is in charge of development control activities in all the urban centres in the state. It operates through six (6) zonal areas namely, Minna, Bida, Suleja, Kontagora, New Bussa and Lapai.

The zonal offices have the following Local Government Areas and their respective headquarters as areas of jurisdiction:

the state capital and by virtue its size is divided into four districts to ensure effective development control activities in the town.
