Conditions for Obtaining Development Permits

A developer intending to carry out or embark on any physical development on any land within all urban areas of the State shall apply to the Board for development/planning approval.

No development shall commence without first obtaining a development permit from the Board.

Development shall mean and include any physical structure such as buildings, tents, stalls, kiosks, drains, ditches, ponds, etc. construction or erection of any kind over, under and on land.

All Development plans, drawings and other details submitted shall be prepared, stamped and signed by qualified professionals registered and licensed to practice in Nigeria.

All drawings shall be on a standard minimum of A3 size papers, legible, of durable materials and well bounded.
