Sequel to the pronouncement by his excellency, Rtd. Hon. Umar Mohammed Bago, the executive Governor of Niger State, to improve the revenue generation of Sate to 10 Billion every month, the Acting General Manager Niger State Urban Development Board, Arc. Muhammad Ismail Bako (FNIA) urged the staff of the Board not relent in their efforts in making sure they improve on revenue generation. Adding that the Board is one of the focal point in the attainment of Urban Renewal and the targeted revenue bench mark, as one of the highest revenue generating agency.
The acting general manager enjoined all the Zonal offices of the Board to be proactive in the discharge of their duties and to carry along all stakeholders in order to form the required synergy in the advancement of achieving orderly and aesthetically balanced physical development and drive the revenue base of the Board, by extension, of the state.
To re-echo the body language of the Governor and match words with actions the Acting General Manager presented Suleja and Bida Zonal offices with a vehicle each to ease monitoring of developments and be able to effectively conduct routine inspection as a way of policing illegal developments. He also encouraged that no stone should be left unturned in the pursuant of a renewed urban setting and enhanced revenue collection.
